Thad

I figured since V-Day was coming up I would answer these question that my friend answered on her blog, so enjoy!

1) What's his name?

Thad Jarrett Forester

2) How long have you been married?

Five months and 1 week. You know you are newlyweds when you can just list months and weeks.

3) How long did you date for?

Lets see, we were set up by a mutual friend. Thad e-mailed me for the first time on Jan. 24th. After a few good e-mails he asked for my number. We then talked on the phone for a little while. He then flew out to see me on April 14th. We were officially dating by the end of April, so officially 4 and a half months????

4) Who eats more sweets?

I definitly am the sugar eater. I love my Mike-N-Ikes, Starburst, Mambas and anything fruity and chewy. Thad likes a good dessert. He loves the Nelson Cake, my chocolate chip cookies, banana pudding and coconut pie.

5) Who said I love you first?

Well we had been dating about a month and he was visiting me in DC from Alabama. We were in my room on my bed just talking (don't you be gettin' any ideas now) and we had had a perfect night and I was getting ready to leave to go sleep in my roommates bed because he was sleeping in my bed and he blurted out "I love you". It was neat because I knew I loved him too and was able to say it right back. It was a great moment for us both.

6) Who is taller?

Thad is taller. I have always loved tall men and he just happens to be 6'2". I have always loved basketball players and he is just that. I also get to see him play church ball and that's fun for me, plus he knows how much I love it!

7) Who can sing better?

I have an ok voice but Thad has a GOOD voice. During church he always wishes I would sing louder but I never do.

8) Who is smarter?

I think we both have our strengths. I can't answer that one. I think we both are sharp.

9) Who does the laundry?

I do the laundry in our home. I am fine with doing the laundry too. Thad is particular about how his things smell and loves soft sheets, so I try to make sure I put a little more fabric softner in the sheet loads. However, I am horrible at ironing and usually put all the clean clothes in one of the guestrooms, on the bed and let the pile get really high before I start folding them. It just is the Roz way, don't hate.

10) Who pays the bills?

Thad pays all the bills for the house and he is good at it. I think it is his degree in business management and his inventory management background that comes into play. I pay my bills that I had pre-marriage.

11) Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?

If you are standing at the at the foot of the bed, Thad is on the right side. However, Thad loves to sleep at a slant and I use to cuddle up in a ball at the top of the left hand corner in fetal position. I also like to fall asleep with my arm over Thad's chest. So if we are both on our backs, I have my left arm over his chest. And sometimes we fall asleep holding hands which I think is really sweet.

12) Who makes dinner?

I am the chef, caterer and baker. I was raised by a mom who was and IS known for her great gourmet cooking and so I was able to aquire a palette for fine foods. However, being single for all these years, cooking for just me was never fun and so I never employed the skills I learned growing up......until now. I am lucky to have a sweet husband who loves and appreciates my food which also makes it easy to cook for him. For those of you who have had the pleasure of being with Thad when he is eating good food, there is a whole lot of moaning and groaning that goes on. Love you babe. :)

13) Who Drives?

Thad is the driver. Even when we were dating, he would come to see me in DC and would drive my car most of the time. I love that he drives because it makes me feel like he is in charge and the man. It is his Southern Gentleman way to do so. He also never lets me walk on the side closest to the cars on the sidewalk and always opens the car door, ALWAYS and always holds my hand in public.

14) Who is more stubborn?

I would say we both can be pretty easy going but we both can be very stubborn too. We are learning this about eachother the longer we are married.

15) Who kissed who first?

It was the weekend he came out to meet me in person and by this time we had spent two full days together and it was Sunday night and we had been sight seeing most the day and had returned to his hotel. He was walking me to my car and gave me a sweet little kiss and then as I was backing out I rolled down the window to say goodbye and he kissed me again.

16) Who asked out who first?

Thad asked me out first because he came out to see me in DC first.

17) Who proposed?

Thad popped the question. I knew that it was coming and the weekend he flew out I told a lot of people that Thad was going to propose to me. He was due to come in around 9 pm and if I recall correctly, he got in almost 2 hours late because his plane was delayed. True to Thad fanshion he made friends with most of the plane and had told them that he was flying out to DC to propose. Hayden and Michael had decorated an apt. roof top that overlooked DC. So the proposal was delayed about 2 hours but once we walked onto the roof top, it was perfect and the feeling I felt when he asked me was pure joy.

18) Who wears the pants in the family?

Nobody wears the pants, we are a team. However Thad is the man of the house and I like it that way.

I finally got my wedding pictures back and I will post more soon but I had to share these two pictures. I have always heard that your wedding day can be a blur and it was in some ways. However, my most vivid memory was watching my little Max with his lightsaber.
Max was on the lawn in between the wedding party table and the guests, in his own little world fighting off all the creatures in the Jedi Battlefield. I assume he was imitating the moves of Luke Skywalker. He was making sounds, grunts and rolling around on the lawn in his little suit. The visual brings a smile to my face everytime I think about it. That little Max has my heart.

Joseph (Thad's older brother), his son Blake and Dad visited Tuscaloosa for the Alabama/Miss State game.  Thad had a great time with his family and hanging out with the boys.
Isn't Thad the cutest, who knew he was born in 1910!  Just kidding, this is a really cool Japanese website that takes your photos and makes them look old. Very fun, click HERE  to go to the site.

I love the Holidays so much I went to Glamore Shots (cheesy, I know) and had these pictures taken.  I also had one taken of me in a red lace "Mrs. Clause" negligee.  But that one is for Thad's eyes only.
